The bedding looked like it had not been changed. The sheets and pillowcases were all wrinkled, looked like they had been slept in and not changed from the last tennants.

Swift Current Thriftlodge is pet friendly and the bed was extremely comfortable.
There were no good areas to take my dog outside and as mentioned the location and surrounding grounds were not very pleasant.

Convenient location
Musty smell in room. Opened one of the doors and after a 90 minute airing out it became better. I believe the odor came from the carpet. pool/hot tub inoperable extremely small bathroom, however one must remember it is not called Thriftlodge for nothing

Not much to like. Breakfast was decent, and morning staff nice.
Night staff was shifty. If I had known the pool and hot tub was out for renovations I would have chosen a different hotel. Bedding clean but very old and thin. Would have expected more for my $90. Would recommend to anyone I know.

Staff was oustanding. Our Credit card would not work in Canada so the young man at the desk took my personal check, wonder of wonders blow my mind, but so greatfull made our day and our trip. Still great people in this world thank you so much!
On a hill, maybe hard for old people to get up and down. Breakfast just o k

Wi-Fi was easy to log into and fast.
The bug that crawled across the floor. The walls are very thin and I could hear the showers, toilet flushing and voices from the adjacent rooms. The pool that was "under renovation" had been filled in and the grass was over a foot tall!

Price
Young man at the front desk is not culturally sensitive to Canadian politeness and came across as surly. Had I not been aware of his culture I would have been offended by his mute stare when making pleasantries. Facility needs up grading but for the price it's OK

The Thriftlodge was close to all the places that we were attending.

The location was great - it is convenient to the highway and to go downtown. The staff in the morning was very good. The receptionist was cheerful and pleasant. There had been an effort made to update - new tile on the bathroom floor.
The check-in clerk was very curt and unfriendly. There were places where the room could have been cleaner. There was no hair drier, which is pretty basic to most hotels; the curtains were old and dirty, and the pillow was like sleeping on a brick

It was clean, comfortable, and easy to find
The free continental breakfast was a little bit plain. I would have expected something hot.
